Welcome to the Legbreaker Challenge Sportive - 20th July 2008
The Legbreaker challenge is a non competetive, cyclo sportive ride, based entirely in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The routes are chosen to take you through some of the toughest, most spectacular scenery anywhere in the country. Please have a look at the comments from last years riders.
In 2007 the Legbreaker was voted as the 6th best Cyclo Sportive in the UK by members of Cyclosport.org, with an overall vote of 9/10.
We have a limit of 500 riders on a first come first served basis. All entrants must be 18 or over on the day of the event, July 20th.
- Entry is £22.50 (£20.00 for the 72km route)
- All proceeds are donated to the County Air Ambulance Charity and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team
- You can choose from three fully signposted routes - Legbreaker Super Challenge 164km (102m) , Legbreaker Challenge 130km (81m) or Legbreaker Mini Challenge72km (45m).
- Each route has refreshment points, 3 on the Super Challenge, 2 on the Legbreaker Challenge and 1 on the Mini Challenge, routes can be downloaded here
- You can register on Saturday 19th July at Den Engel Belgian Bar, Stanley Street, Leek from 1pm to 5pm to get an early Sunday start.
- Registration on the Sunday will be at the HQ, Leek High School, from 7:30am.
- The headquarters are situated at Leek High School, Springfield Road, Leek, and will be open from 7.15am
